It is a beautiful sunny day and my wife went to Rotterdam to visit
her mother so I went for a ride with a friend.
Because I have problems with the clutch of the BMW, I took the CB400T.
First we went to the little car- and motorcycle-museum in Zandvliet in
Belgium and then we went to the Oesterdam and had coffee at the
Speelmansplaat. From the Oesterdam we crossed the isle of Tholen to
Stavenisse were we had a cold drink at a cafe on the marina.
From Stavenisse, we went back home via St Annaland and Bergen op Zoom.

July 21, 2014
One of my sons, Vincent, had build a wooden playhouse for his children in
his garden but when he moved to a bigger house, but with a smaller garden,
he had to sell it.
Today, after work, I went to his old house and with the help of one of my
other sons, my son-in-law and Vincent his brother-in-law, we loaded the
heavy house in a van to get it to its new owner.

It was again very warm today but I wanted to visit "L&L choppers"
in Rijen so via Bergen op Zoom, Heerle, Nispen and Achtmaal I came
through Zundert. In Zundert I bought a bottle of cold water. You
need to drink enough with this hot weather.
Via Meerle, Chaam and past Gilze I went to Rijen but unfortunately,
the shop was dark, the door was locked and there was nobody there.......
Well, it was a nice ride anyway so I continued my trip and from
Rijen via Dongen en Oosterhout I came in Raamsdonk. There I stopped to
take a picture of the beautiful Sint-Bavokerk.
Later in Made, I bought an icecream and a can of cola and then I went
via Zevenbergen, Etten-Leur, Sprundel and Essen to Nispen again. From
Nispen I went to Ossendrecht to visit Motorservice Ossendrecht and
drink a cup of coffee before I went home.

It is 30 degrees Celcius today so time for a nice ride. I got my
mesh-jacket on for some fresh air and got my BMW from the garage.
First, after leaving home, I went to Zandvliet just across the border
in Belgium to visit the car- and motorcycle-museum of American
Legend.
Then, through the container terminal area in Antwerp, I
went past Wuustwezel to Baarle Nassau for a cold cola and then
to Breda, to OIT, a Harley dealer to look at the new Harley's.
From Breda, I took the long way home and after a few hours and 180
km, I parked the bike in the garage again.

A big containership in Antwerp
While I was taking pictures of the loading of the container ship,
I must have touched the fence. That must have triggered an alarm
because a minute later, a security guard came and told me not to
take any more pictures..........

This Wednesday, our youngest son got his diploma for "IT system maintenance"
at a short ceremony at school in Rotterdam and of course, my wife and I were
with him as proud parents.

After he got his diploma, we made a group photo of the class and the teachers,
we had some drinks and cheese, peanuts and cookies and then we went to the KFC
for a well deserved dinner with the three of us.

This weekend, one of our sons and his family were moving to their
new house. It was a lot of work but with some help, we managed to
get most things to the new house this weekend..

When I had parked my Renault Clio near their "old" house, it was next to
one of our other sons car, also a Renault Clio, in the same color as
mine.

Yesterday, one of our sons had his birthday. We had a surprise
party for him in his backyard. We organised a nice garden party
and one of our friends made a beautifull cake with his two cats
in marzipan for him.
Today we had another party. We celebrated my grandson his
second birthday. with a party by the pool. We had a little TV
to watch the Belgian team play agains Argentina. We had a BBQ
and there were pancakes for the children. With just a little
rain and a lot of sun, we had a very pleasant afternoon and
evening.

The last party of this weekend will be my parents their 81th
birthday that we will celebrate with the whole family.

Sometimes it is handy to have a second car, like last time when my
granddaughter had a little accident and had to go to the docter
while my wife was away with our car.
So when our neighbours sold their Renault Clio, we bought it as
a second car.
A nice little car
It was very usefull from day one. We needed to bring a table to
one of our sons birthday party and it did not fit in the trunk
of the Mercedes but in the Clio with the rear seat down, it did
fit.
