After a few days working in Amsterdam, I went to the High Tech Campus in
Eindhoven to work there today with a few collegues.
The view from our window
There was a nice white bird in the water next to the office
I do like working in this office very much.

This afternoon we went to an indoor playground with two of our grandchildren (and
one of my sons, the father of one of the children). They had a good time playing
there and eating icecream..

I really wanted to pick up my new topcase for my BMW at Motorservice
Ossendrecht but unfortunately the weather is not so good for
a bike ride.
Lots of snow and that means that the roads are slippery and
there is salt on the roads that are not slippery (and salt is
very bad for aluminum parts of the bike).
Our backyard in the snow
It has been like this all week but next week should be less
cold so maybe the snow will melt away.

Today I made a lot of pictures for an article about the UCI World
Cup Cyclo Cross in Hoogerheide. It was cold and snowing but I had
a very nice day, taking a lot of (action) pictures..
Action at the UCI World Cup Cyclo Cross
This was the last article I wrote for ZuidWestActueel because
I stopped working with them for now.

or Eindhoven..

This afternoon, we had unexpected visitors, my oldest son and his wife and
children. Together with one of my other sons with his wife and children and
my youngest son, we went to "De Pannekoekenbakker" pancake restaurant.
Delicious pancakes
They have a lot of different pancakes, very good and it was a very nice
restaurant for the little children.

For my next trip, I bought some big aluminum panniers for the BMW. The have more
volume, are stonger (2 mm thick aluminum !) and easier to load.then the original
BMW panniers.
Beside that, they look good and are much cheaper then the Touratech panniers
.
My new panniers on the bike at Motorservice Ossendrecht
The only problem is that my topbox does not fit anymore so we phoned, to the
company that made the panniers, for a solution and they are working on it. (to be continued)

Yesterday I had a day off from work, to help my daughter and
het husband to move to the house they got.
There was a lot of work to do like building closets, chairs and
tables from IKEA (with the famous IKEA allen-key) but with
the help of two of my sons, we got a lot done.
Helping my daughter move to their new house
After one of my sons and my oldest grandson had build the
dinnertable we could eat the meal my wife had prepared.

Every year there is a big Volkswagen Beetle event in the "Autotron" in Rosmalen.
Today my wife, my youngest son and I went there to check out the nice classic
Beetles and Volkswagen vans and campervans.
At the Volkswagen Beetle event in Rosmalen
It was very crowded but we did saw some interesting cars. Unfortunately we
did not win the grand price in the raffle with the entrance ticket numbers. The
price was a very nice red Volkswagen Beetle.

For my next trip to Spain, I wanted better and bigger panniers so today I ordered
ARO aluminum panniers for my BMW at Motorservice Ossendrecht.
After my visit to Motorservice Ossendrecht I made a small tour into Zeeland.
Notwithstanding the rain, it was nice to ride.
The BMW in Zeeland (and a small picture of an ARO pannier)
I am looking forward to my new panniers and I am looking forward even more
to my next trip this summer.

This morning, while my wife was still asleep, I made my "traditional" New Years ride on the BMW.
First I had to go to the gasstation to fill up and then I went into Zeeland, over the Oesterdam to
Tholen and then back home via Huijbergen.
At the Oesterdam in Zeeland
It was raining a little, but it is not cold, I think about eight or nine degrees Celcius so I had
a very enjoyable ride. A good begin of the new year.
