Today I went to Motorservice Ossendrecht to get my Tomtom mounted
on the BMW.
Then, after a coffee and a chat with John, I took the long way home
and on my way, I stoped to take some pictures of the BMW as it is
now with the topcase and the Tomtom.

For the newssite Woensdrecht.nieuws.nl, I wrote an article about the
eleven year aniversary of carnavalprince Kees from Ostrecht.
While I was there, Hans de Waal asked if I would like to be on a
photo with prince Kees so here it is

Today I removed the Krauser topcase from the Honda CB400T and
removed the original Krauser fittings from the topcase.
Then I made a cardboard template of the holes in the luggage rack
to drill the right holes in the bottom of the topcase.
With the holes in the topcase alligned with the holes in the
luggage rack, I mounted the topcase with six bolts to the rack
on the BMW.

It has been some time since we visited my parents so we really needed to go
there today. We visited my mother in the nursinghome where she lives now and
my father was there too.
On the wall of my mothers room I saw a picture that my brother had found.
It is a very old picture of my father and mother with my brother, myself
(in the center) and my oldest sister.

The BMW is ready so we went to Rilland and I had my first ride on my
new (for me) BMW K75RT. Before I could leave, they wanted to take a
picture of me when they delivered the bike. They post these pictures
on their Facebook page.

In the afternoon, we went to the first birthday party of one of our
grandsons. They live almost two hours driving away from us but
fortunately, traffic was not to bad.

Yesterday we went for a ride in Zeeland (with my wife in the car, not on
the motorcycle). We stopped at 'De Knalpot' a motorcycleshop in Rilland
and saw a very nice BMW K75RT from 1993 for a nice price.
I told Jack, the owner of the shop that I liked the bike but wanted
to think about it.
Today we went back. I did a short testride and then we bought the bike.

They have to do some maintenance and fit new tires and when it is ready I
can pick it up. I'm waiting for the phonecall now.

Every year I try to do a 'New Years ride' on the first day of the year
but not today. Due to tax regulations, I am not allowed to ride my motorcycle
today so the Honda stayed in the garage.
No New Years ride this year
