At the shooting range of shooting club S.V. OKK, I attended an event
organised by the
DWSA
(Dutch Western Shooting Association).
They shoot with pre 1900 western style rifles, coachguns (shotguns)
and revolvers and I competed in the coachgun competition.

On our way from a family visit near The Hague and a birthday party
in Dordrecht, we visited Motoport Rotterdam. A big motorcycle shop
with a few nice classics. The one I liked most was the Benelli
Sei 750.

Soon, one of my granddaughters is having her birthday. For the
birthdayparty with her friends from school, I had drawn a frog
and a prinses yesterday. Today my daughter colored the drawing
with paint so it is ready for the games at the party now.

It is very warm for the time of the year. 14 degrees Celcius in
the middle of the winter is warm. Never mind, it is perfect weather
for a motorbike-ride.
Through Bergen op Zoom and Huijbergen I rode into Belgium and via
Essen en Kalmthout, I crossed the Dutch border again in Putte.

I really enjoyed riding the Honda 400 again. It had been in the garage
for to long.

about the Cycle Cross GP Adrie van der Poel in Hoogerheide.
This time it was wet, muddy and raining but it was not cold and
we (one of my sons and I) made a nice article with photos and
video.

My friend Dick and I went to the Oldtimer-motorcycle fair in the
"Autotron" in Rosmalen. Lots of old motorcycles, mopeds, parts,
books, paintbrush-art and more.

Together with our youngest son and his girlfriend, we went to the
theatershow of comedian Richard Groenendijk.
It was a nice show, we had a lot of fun and after the show, our son
made a selfie with Richard Groenendijk and bought his DVD.

In the afternoon of January 1st, we left home to visit my wife's
sister in Germany because her husband is in hospital. It is a 280
km trip, mostly over the autobahn but with our Mercedes it is a
joy to do.
We visited our brother-in-law in the hospital twice and walked
their dog while my wife's sister was going to the hospital.

Today we went back home and because we left in the morning, we had
an easy ride home with no traffic jams.

This "winter" is extremely warm. There was no frost in the month December!
Good weather for a motorbike ride like my traditional New Years ride. This
morning it was colder then usual, only 4 of 5 degrees Celcius but despite
the cold, I had a very nice ride on the Honda 400 through the polders around
Woensdrecht.
