The windshield of the GoldWing was very dirty and damaged but with
the polish paste I got from John from Motorservice Ossendrecht, and
a lot of 'elbow grease' it came out a lot brighter.

Today I made an
article for our website about the Grand Prix Adrie van der Poel, the
annual Cycle-Cross race in Hoogerheide.
The race was held without an spectators due to covid. I've never been able to take
pictures so easily during a Cycle-Cross race .

This morning I went to church in Goes and the weather was great so
I took the BMW and enjoyed a nice ride.
On my way home after the service, I took the long way home via
the Westerschelde dike, across the border to Belgium and via a
road in the port area of Antwerp I went to Ossendrecht and from
there back home.

Our oldest son and his family are staying with us today and this
morning my son and I went for a morning run.
Since the gyms are closed due to the corona lockdown (how stupid
can a government be) it is good to have some excercise. We did
ran 8.9 km in an hour and ten minutes.
We arrived home after almost 9 km

Every year I try to do a new Year Ride on my motorcycle. This year
the weather was warm for the time of the year, about 15 degrees
(59 Fahrenheit) so I decided to do a little tour through Belgium.
From home I rode to the Belgium border in Putte.
From Putte I went to Wuustwezel and from Wuustwezel to Zundert in
the Netherlands. From Zundert, I went back into Belgium on my way
to Essen in Belgium.
In Essen, a town close to the Dutch border, I came along a war
monument close to the railroad station. It is a monument in honor
of 75 years of peace and specifically in memory of the sacrifices
made by the men of the Polar Bears Division (49th West Riding), the
Canadian 4th Armored and the Canadian 2nd Infantry division.

From Essen I went home via Huijbergen. I had a wonderful ride.
