June 2014 June 28, 2014 Today we had to be in a small village near Veenendaal. Because Veenendaal is only half an hour drive from where our oldest son and his family live, we wanted to visit them. They had just arrived home when we came and together we went to a pancake restaurant and had some very nice pancakes. We as adults, but especially the two grandkids, enjoyed it very much. At the pancake restaurant June 20, 2014 Together with an friend, I made a little tour through Zeeland today. From home, we went to a motorcycle shop in Goes, got a free coffee and watched bikes and then we went to the boulevard in Flushing (Vlissingen in Dutch). At the boulevard we parked our bikes and had a snack and a milkshake, we watched some big seaships on their way to the harbour of Antwerp and then we went home again, avoiding the freeways, just riding nice secondary roads through small villages. At the boulevard in Flushing (Vlissingen) June 8, 2014 Yesterday and today, my wife, our youngest son and I went to "Fantastyval" in Wouwse Plantage. My wife and son were wearing their medieval outfit and I was dressed steampunk style. Fantastyval festival at the estate "Wouwse Plantage". For more pictures, click HERE June 8, 2014 Today, my wife and I went to a "jazz" church service in the Gertrudis church in Bergen op Zoom. This weekend is jazz weekend in Bergen op Zoom and so today, two jazz bands played in the mixed protestant and catholic service in the church. And the end of the service, everybody followed the jazzband, walking out of the church playing "Oh when the saints...." and, with some friends who also attended the service, we drank a coffee on the "Grote Markt", the main square in Bergen op Zoom, while jazz bands played in the big tent on the square. As far as I'm concerned, every church service should be so cheerful as this jazz church-service. .....walking out of the church playing "Oh when the saints"..... June 7, 2014 This afternoon, my wife and I went to Bergen op Zoom on our bicycles and enjoyed JazzBoz, a jazz event with bands playing all through the city center.. A jazz band on the "Beursplein" You can read more of it and watch a video on Regioactueel.nl. June 5, 2014 Last month, on the 17th, I left home for a motorcycle trip to Italy. I visited Venice, Pompeii, Rome and Pisa and some more places and I also visited my cousin Evert-Jan in France.Today I came home again after a wonderful trip.
