Vincent and I went to the military exercise FALCON AUTUMN to write an article for
Regioactueel about the the recapture of airport Midden Zeeland.
There were hundreds of soldiers from the Dutch 13 Infantry Battalion, the German
'Division Schnelle Kräfte' and the US 82nd Airborne division who came with Chinook
and Cougar helicopters, supported by Apache attack helicopters.

On every 3th sunday in September, the little village of Lepelstraat is filled
with big American cars and motorcycles. There was a band playing cool Rock'n Roll
and the sound of big V-twin and V8 engines. I love it!
I went there to write an article for
Regioactueel and had a good time.

September 15, 2016
Last monday, I took a few days off from my Regioactueel work and got on
my GoldWing for a short trip. First I went to Wesel in Germany. I spend the
night in a hotel there. The next day I toured the Eifel to Luxembourg. I had
found a nice hotel in Berdorf, a small village near Echternach.
After doing a round trip in Luxembourg yesterday, I went back home today but
not before I bought a bottle of Cassero liqueur at the castle of Beaufort.

The organisation 'breek de Stilte' (break the silence) organised the event
'Stappen voor Autisme' at castle Ravenhof in Stabroek in Belgium.
I went there to write an article for
Regioactueel. It was nice to go there on the GoldWing and it is very
pretty place to take pictures of an event, because the castle and the gardens
around it are beautiful.

Today we went home again. After breakfast, we checked out and went to
the hospital for a visit before we went back to the Netherlands.

September 8, 2016
One of my brothers in law, who lives in Germany, had to go to the hospital
for surgery so Erika and I went there to visit him.
We left home on wednesday and after checking in at the appartment we had
rented for a few days, we visited Erika's sister and went to the hospital
with her.
Today, we visited my brother in law again and after our visit to the
hospital, we went to Schloss (castle) Hohenlimburg. Schloss Hohenlimburg
was build in 1243 but has been changed a lot during the years.

The owner of the BMW motorcycleshop 'De Knalpot' in Rilland organises every
year a fair at the end of the summer.
I went there to write an article for
Regioactueel. The fair was nice but what I really liked were the old BMW motorcycles that
were on display.
