For the first time, I went to the office in Amsterdam by car.
Usually, I go by train and sometimes by motorcycle but I did not
want to take the train again and the road is to boring to enjoy
it on a motorcycle so I took the Clio so I could listen to my CDs.

I had not much delay on the way to the office but when I went home,
after a visit to my parents, the A13, the major freeway between
The Hague and Rotterdam, was closed due to a serious accident so
it took a little longer to get home.

I had a very nice Sunday afternoon motorcycle ride with a friend.
We rode a little more then two hundred kilometers
on the nice backroads of Zeeland. Sometimes on nice winding
roads on or behind the dike and sometimes through nice villages
like Burgh-Haamstede and Veere.

It was saturday, the weather is nice (a little chilly but not to bad)
so it was time for a motorcycle ride.
From home I went through Bergen op Zoom, Halsteren, Steenbergen and
Dinteloord to Willemstad. At a restaurant on the harbour, I had a
cappuccino and an piece of apple-pie. Then I got on my GoldWing again
and drove home, past Fijnaard, through Kruisland, Wouw, Wouwse
Plantage and Heimolen.

It is a wonderful sunny day and I made a nice ride through Belgium to
Motoport, a big motorcycle shop in Breda.
After a coffee at the bikeshop, I went to the shop where one of our
sons works, in Etten-Leur and after visiting him, I went home again.
I had a very nice ride and enjoyed riding my beautiful GoldWing.

Via a friend, my wife heard, that there was an Elvis Day in Kruisland,
a small village, half an hour riding from our home. We went there and
saw some nice cars and bikes and we really liked the pink Cadillac that
was parked next to the cafe where the Elvis Day was.

After admiring the cars and bikes we went inside and enjoyed the
nostalgic Elvis music and looked at all the Elvis Presley records,
books, photos and T-shirts that were for sale.

Despite the very bad weather (it was raining cats and dogs)
I went to Motorservice Ossendrecht for some minor adjustments on
the GoldWing and to put a new item on the
Motorservice Ossendrecht Facebook page.
Then I went for a wet but nice ride via Putte into Belgium to
Kalmthout where I made a picture of my Wing next to a big cannon.
Via Wildert I went back into the Netherlands and went back home.

My Evolution motorcycle jacket is perfect in the rain but unfortunately
my BMW motorcycle trousers not so. I had a very uncomfortable wet
crotch.

On the motorcycle show last week, I took some brochures from
travel organisations. Back home, one trip really convinced me
that I have to win the lottery.

on Royal Enfield 500cc bikes that you buy in Nepal.

It is a pity it is so very expensive. It looks like the dream ride
of a lifetime. If I ever win the lottery, this is how I will spend
some of the money  .

Finally, I can ride my GoldWing again. Because of new road-tax
rules for oldtimer and classic vehicles in the Netherlands, I
was not allowed to ride it in December, January and February.
Fortunately, it is a nice day. The sun is shining and it is nine
or ten degrees Celcius. I went from my home to Oudenbosch via
secondary roads only and took a picture of my GoldWing in front
of the basilica.

From Oudenbosch I went through Schijf, Essen and Kalmthout (
in Belgium) to Putte to visit a friend but he was not home
so then I went home again and parked the GoldWing in my garage
after a very nice and sunny ninety kilometer ride.
