Today I went to the big motorcycle show in Utrecht. With a group of
seven, customers/friends from Motorservice Ossendrecht, we went to
Utrecht in a Chevy-van and enjoyed a very interesting bike show.
I looked at a lot of travel-organiser stands who organise trips to the
Himalaya and to the US because these are trips that are on my to-do
list  .
But there was a lot more to see and I also enjoyed looking
at luxery bikes like the new Honda GoldWing, BMW GT1600 and the Indian
Roadmaster (all bikes that cost more then 30000 Euros !!). More
affordable bikes that I also enjoyed very much were the Royal Enfields
and the Yamaha SR400.
I tried the seat of the Indian Roadmaster.
We left the show at ten o'clock in the evening after a long and
enjoyable day at the bike show.

My wife found a box with a Kodak Gold 200 ASA analog film so I got
my old Ricoh KR5 SLR camera and loaded the film. This afternoon, I
went for a walk and took the Ricoh with me and took a couple of
pictures in our village.

I will take the camera with me on my next motorcycle ride (maybe
this weekend when the weather is nice) and shoot some more
pictures.

The GoldWing is ready. It has got a full service and new frontfork
seals and it was cleaned too !

I made an article about the arrival of the Carnaval Prince who came to
Ossendrecht on an off-road bike.

In reality, it was the son of the local motorcycleshop owner
(Motorservice Ossendrecht)
who acted as a stand-in for Prince Kees but it was spectaculair anyway.

This afternoon, the school that two of our grandchildren go to, had their
children carnaval parade with almost two hundred people, children, teachers
and parents, joining in the parade.
Our daughter and one of our daughters in law also joined the parade with
their electric pedal assisted cargobikes to transport their children.

John, from
Motorservice Ossendrecht, came with his bike-trailer this
morning to pick up up my GoldWing. It needs a full service to make
it ready for the coming riding-season.

This weekend my wife and youngest son were away so I had the house
for myself. Unfortunately I had the flu this weekend so I spend
most of the weekend in bed.
I was lucky that Motors TV had a live report from the "Le Touquet
Enduropale beachcross" on TV on Sunday afternoon so I saw Adrien
Van Beveren win this three hour race on the beach on his Yamaha.
