My father bought a new computer and today I went to his place to
install it for him, together with my brother. I went there on
the Honda CB400T. In the evening, on my way home, I avoided the freeway
and took the much nicer secondary roads. In Maassluis, I used the car-ferry
to Rozenburg and Via Hellevoetsluis, Middelharnis and Tholen I
went home. It was 30 degrees Celcius so I was glad that I had
my mesh-jacket. That was very comfortable with those temperatures.

A few days a go, I saw a Republic F-84F Thunderstreak jet at the
entrance of airforce base Gilze-Rijen. I wanted a picture of
that with my GoldWing so today I went there. I took the long
road via Wuustwezel, Brecht and Merksplas in Belgium and
then went to Rijen, where the entrance of the airforce base is.

My old bicycle has not been cleaned very often. When I used it to
go to the train station everyday and I had to leave it there all
day, I did not want it to look nice. Nice bicycles get stolen.
Now I don't use my bicycle to go to the station anymore so I
started a little renovation project today.
I bought a new saddle, new front and rear lights, a new bell,
a new cable-lock and some more parts and cleaned and lubricated
it and now it looks a lot better.

Because our oldest son, who had to go to Switzerland to play with his
band, went there together with his wife, their children stayed with
us this weekend. Together with my daughter and another daughter in law
and all our grandchildren, we went to the museum steam train in
Zeeland.
First we went from the station in Goes to the end of the line in a
train with an real old steam locomotive and then there was a fair,
there was a miniature railway where we could have a ride, there were
some model railways on display inside the restaurant and exhibition
of model ships and much more, and very important, coffee and pie.

In another very old train, a diesel this time, we went back to
the station in Goes and then we went back home, very tired.

Our son Vincent called us, that there was a classic car, bike and
airplane show at Breda Airport. It was organised because the airplane
museum Seppe was celebrating its 25 year anniversary.
I went there on our Honda CB400T, that is 37 years old, and got free
entrance as a participant in the show.

After Vincent and his two sons had arrived we watched the classic
cars and bikes and the beautiful airplanes. We had coffee and icecream
and had a very pleasand afternoon on the airfield.

Today I went to the classic races in Wemeldinge in Zeeland. It
was exciting to see all those old racing machines go around the
track and to walk through the paddock and chat with the riders.
There was also a demonstration from Jurgen van den Goorbergh, a
Dutch racer who also did the Dakar rally a few times. He did a
few laps and a lot of wheelies on his Dakar machine.
A very "classic" racing machine.....

This morning I went to visit our oldest son and his family on the farm
where they live, about 180 kilometer to the North-East of where
we live. Most of the time I used nice country roads and I enjoyed
the ride. In the evening, after dinner, I went home. This time
I used the freeway.

Our oldest son, Sjoerd, played with his band "
Draw the Parade"
in the Gelredome station in Arnhem for 25000 people. It was
during the "EO jongerendag" and it was live on national TV.
I am a proud father !
My wife and youngest son saw it live in Arnhem and I watched it
at home on TV and took some screenshots.
