Every year there is the "Blommenkinders Festival" in Roosendaal.
It is a Woodstock style festival with bands playing covers from
The Who, Joe Cocker, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Janis Joplin,
Led Zeppelin, Melanie, Jefferson Airplane, Deep Purple and more.
There was also a performance of Elly en Rikkert who were famous
in the Netherlands in the 60's and 70's.
But there was more then just music, like an exhibition of oldtimer
"hippie" vans and oldtimer mopeds. Despite the heavy rain, me, my
wife, one of our sons and two grandsons had a nice day.

July 25, 2015
One of our grandsons was celebrating his third birthday so we went
to their house, two hours driving from where we live, and had a
nice BBQ dinner. Unfortunately the weather was very bad so we had
to eat our hamburgers inside the house and not in the garden.
But thanks to the rain and a little bit of sunshine, we did see a
beautiful rainbow
 .

My wife was doing a daytrip with her friends so I had all day
for myself. The weather was perfect, 25 degrees Celcius, so I
went for a ride.

Our friends Guido and Agneta invited us to come to the American Day
in Uithoorn (near Amsterdam). Agneta would be there with her trike.
We went there this afternoon and enjoyed looking at all the beautiful
American motorcycles and cars, a rocket truck and ofcourse, the trikes.
We tried how comfortable the seat of Agneta's trike was. as you can
see at the picture, but we both prefer two wheels
.

After the event, we had dinner at Guido and Agneta's place and had
a nice evening with them.

Despite the rain, I went for a ride on the Honda 400. After a
visit to Motorservice Ossendrecht, I took some single lane roads
from Putte past Stabroek to Zandvliet in Belgium and from there
I went back to the Netherlands via Ossendrecht and took a detour
home via the Noordpolder.

It was raining a lot but it was not cold and I enjoyed riding
on the countryroads in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Today I rode to Geertruidenberg to visit Bert, a colleague. He
lives very close to the "Amer" powerplant.

The weather was perfect and I had a very nice ride and enjoyed
to chat with Bert, who I had not seen for a long time.

Together with my wife, I spend an afternoon in Antwerp in Belgium.
We left our car at a bus station at the Belgian border, in Putte,
and took the bus to the city center of Antwerp. Antwerp is a nice
city and we enjoyed the many street artist in the old center.

The weather is warm and sunny so Erika and I got on our motorcycles
to get breakfast at the McDonalds on the Boulevard in Bergen op Zoom.
