Last month, I wrote an article about the Harley-Davidson day in Putte and the
Harley-Davidson day in Bergen op Zoom. I wrote it for RegioActueel.nl but also
for the biggest Dutch custombike magazine "Bigtwin".
Today the new Bigtwin, nr 286 / august 2010, with my two articles in it, was in
the shops. I got an SMS from one of my sons that he had just got it in the shop
so I got on the BMW and went to buy it straightaway.

It is nice to see my story and pictures in print again. The last time was a few
years ago with my report of the GWRRA GoldWing treffen in Denmark in the GWRRA
magazine WingWorld.

My oldest son and his wife came by today to show their new car. Their old Ford Escord broke down and
now they bought a beautiful Dacia stationwagon.

It has a lot of room inside so they can easy have the dog in a bench, their daughter, the baby buggy and
diapers and a complete drumkit in the car with room to spare.
We are happy too because tomorrow we will have our Volkswagen Passat back, that they used until the
new car was delivered.

Today I needed some fresh air so I got the BMW from the garage and started riding. First I went South. At the border I
filled the tank and after riding through Kalmthout and Wuustwezel I headed North again to Breda on some narrow
sand- and dirtroads.
In Breda, I stopped at OIT Harley-Davidson,
the Harley dealer where I bought my Tour-Glide some years ago.
They had some very nice bikes but I liked one bike in particular, a 2009 Sportster 1200 Custom, a demo model.

It is very tempting but with the current circumstances at home, it would not be wise to buy it now so I guess I have
to be patient for a while.
I think I should win the lotery so I can buy a GoldWing AND a Sportster and keep the BMW but I think my next bike
will be a Sportster anyhow.

This week I made a short trip on the BMW to Xanten in Germany and to Luxembourg. I left home on Tuesdaymorning and came back on Friday afternoon
