In a few weeks we will have a "family weekend" and today my wife and I went to
a shipping company in Belgium to make the arrangements for a boattrip in the
harbour of Antwerp.

After we made the reservations in the office, we got to watch the ship that we
will be on. It is a very nice ship and we are looking forward to the family weekend.

At Seppe Airfield, not far away from where we live, was an Airshow today with a
very interesting static display and spectaculair demonstrations.
Stunts in the air
The flying club Rotterdam gave a demonstration formation flying with six planes,
the SAR helicopter of Leeuwarden Airbase gave a demonstration, a few stunt
teams performed with spectaculair stunts and there was a lot more to see so
it was a very interesting afternoon.

After a long day working in Eindhoven and traveling by train, I arrived at the station in
Roosendaal. Then I got a phonecall that my wife, one of my sons and one of my granddaughters
were in Roosendaal too and could pick me up from the station.
Together we went to the McDonalds to get a McShake and some hamburgers. My
granddaughter liked the half hamburger we gave here and soon she wanted the
other half too.

Only a few days work before my holiday starts. Today I went to Woerden by train and
tomorrow I'll have to go to Eindhoven. On Thursday I'll be in Amsterdam.
Then I have to work only Monday and Tuesday next week before I can start with the last
preparations for my trip.

Before I leave on my trip to Spain, the bike must be in perfect
condition. Today I went to Motorservice Ossendrecht for the
maintenance, new engine oil, some adjustents and inspections etc.
so now the bike is ready for the big trip.

The bike runs better now and now the handlebars and handles
are moved the way I want them, the ergonomics are better too.

My wife and I went to Rescue Vlissingen with one of our sons. It
is a big event with all kind of rescue demonstrations with ships,
airplanes, helicopters and jetskis. The weather was perfect and
it was very nice to see what the rescue vessels and helicopters
could do.

We went there by train but we had to walk a lot to get from the
trainstation to the beach and back so next time we go by car or
motorcycle.

This Thursday, the band Merdan Taplak from Antwerp played on Palm
Parkies on the Wilhelminaveld in Bergen op Zoom..

I was home late from work in Amsterdam so we could not be at
the Wilhelminaveld until half past nine PM but we liked what
we saw. It is not the kind of music I would buy a CD for, but
it was nice to see the show on stage.

The weather is nice and it is holidayseason so there are no trafficjams
on the road. A good moment to go to work on the bike.

Going on the bike saves me two times an hour compared to public
transport and it is much more fun.

With some children and grandchildren, we went to "De Efteling" a big fairytale amusement park in the South of the Netherlands.

to get some nice pictures with my wifes Nikon D5000..

In the summertime there is a "Palm Parkies" concert every Thursday
evening on the 'Wilhelminaveld" in Bergen op Zoom. We went there
yesterday evening and enjoyed the show of Dr Fred & The Medicine
Man, a very good coverband.

Later that evening we went to the afterparty in "Gebouw-T" for a
reggea concert of Kevin Isaacs but that was a bit disapointing so
we did not stay long.

Together with my wife I went to Motorservice Ossendrecht to see if the crashbars, that I had
ordered for my bike some time ago, had arrived. When we arrived with the BMW, the DHL deliveryvan
just left.
While we had a coffee, John mounted the crashbars on my bike and with an even better looking and safer
bike, we went home again.

Before we left, my wife made me buy a new crash-helmet because the old one was worn out. I bought
the same make and model as the one I bought a few years ago.

Our youngest children are on holidays and our grandchildren are with their parents so for
the first time in a long long time, we are just with the two of us.
Now we had the chance, we did a nice daytrip together to Brugge in Belgium

We visited a nice church and the "Frites Museum" a museum about the origin of French fries.
Very interesting and at the end we both had French fries for lunch.
It was nice to enjoy a day with just the two of us.
