Every year the 'Brabantse Wal Festival' is held in our village.
off course, we write about it on
Regioactueel.nl.
On the last evening of the festival, the band 'Mooi Wark' was the
main act with a lot of smoke, lightshow, fireballs and wild girls
on stage. It was fun !

While using the route past the dykes along the Westerschelde on my way
to Motoport, a big motorcycleshop in Goes, I came past this big
flowerfield.
I climbed on the dyke to take a picture of it, with the little village
Bath in the background.

Yesterday I took this picture of a blackbird in our front yard.
I could get very close before he decided I came to close and flew
away into a tree.

After a very busy weekend, it was time for a walk in a nice park.
I went to the Mattemburgh estate with my wife, one of my sons, his
wife and children and his parents-in-law for a nice walk on the estate.

The past three days I enjoyed myself at the Dijkrock rock-festival in
Rilland. Three days taking pictures of the bands (for articles on
Regioactueel.nl)
talking to the members of the bands and listening to the music.

My son Vincent and I are filming a documentary about refugees that
came to our village to live here. It is a project for the city
council to help with the integration of the new residents of
our village.
We filmed one episode with a guide and a refugee from Somalia
at the Kraaijenberg nature reserve.

On this picture, made by the guide, Leo den Heijer, my son
interviewed the refugee while I am filming with the second camera.

Finaly, I had some time for a nice motorcycle ride. From home, I went to
Putte and via Wuustewezel and Brecht to beerse, near Turnhout in Belgium.
Then I went to Baarle-Nassau on the Dutch-Belgian border and bought a nice
cold milkshake.
From Baarle-Nassau I went back home after a very nice ride.

It was a busy day for me. I had to make three reports for
Regioactueel.nl,
one about a graveyard, one about a museum and one about a charity event.
The weather is nice so I took the Honda 400 from the garage and with
my camera and notebook in the topcase, I went to all three places.
Going from one event to the other, I passed the statue of the beer-drinker
in Ossendrecht. A nice environment for a picture with the Honda.

The city counsel of Woensdrecht had organised a promotiontour for
the local press to show us some nice touristic places in Woensdrecht.
After a cup of coffee we went in a small bus and visited some
interesting places. Dutch readers can read about it on
Regioactueel.nl.
At the end of the tour we had a lunch at restaurant De Blauwe Pauw.
In that restaurant, they serve the 'Natuurburger' (nature-burger)
and for every burger sold, €2- goes to the international naturepark
'De Zoom – Kalmthoutse Heide' for nature conservation.
