This Sunday I went to Oudkarspel for an APS-DSR shooting match. The
organisation of this event, the 'Association for Practical Shooting'
(APS) is celebrating its 25th anniversary today, so all participants
received a cake and every stage of the match was 25 shots.

October 25, 2019
From Sophia, a collegue photographer, I got a few new plants for our
front yard, a butterfly bush (Buddleja) and a few autumn asters
(Michaelmas daisy).
This afternoon, my wife and I planted them in our front yard and
did some more jobs in the yard so it looks a lot better now.

October 20, 2019
Sunday afternoon, I attended a lever action shooting match in
Driebergen with my Henry lever action rifle. The match was organised
by the Winchester Lever Action Shooters Society Holland (WLASSH).
All participants got a nice mug as a 'souvernir'.

At 25 meters I was in 13th place and at 50 meters in 8th place.

This Sundaymorning our youngest granddaughter was introduced to church
members in the church where my daughter and her husband are members.
It was a nice church service with many family members who had come all
the way to Goes, this early Sunday morning, to attend the service.

October 19, 2019
When my parents where alive, we had an anual family weekend but
after they both passed away, we, as a family, wanted to continue
that tradition by organising a family day.
Today we gathered in the church building where my parents used to
come on Sunday, where we had coffee with cakes and a lunch together
and then we went to the Art Museum in The Hague.

The children did a treasure hunt and we admire the art in the museum.
After the visit to the museum, we went back to the church for a
family dinner.

There was a "Friends & Family" day at the church that I go to. Church members
asked friends and family to come to the church for a special service.
A lot of church members had made cakes and pies so after the service,
there was coffee, tea and plenty of cake and pie for everybody. There
were almost fifty cakes and pies for about three hundred people.

When the weather is not to bad, I like to use my bicycle instead of
my car for trips in the neighbourhood. It keeps me in shape and is
a good way to save on petrol.
Today I had to go to Bergen op Zoom for an article about an
art-exposition so I went there on my bicycle.

Part of the route to Bergen op Zoom is through the forest and that
is the part I like most. While I was riding through the forest, a
buzzard came flying from the forest, flew a few meters in front of
me and then disapeared in the forest again. Wonderful !
