We went to Bergen op Zoom on our bicycles and enjoyed the beautiful
fall-colors of the forrest that we were riding through.

We wanted to go there for a long time but finally, today, Erika and
I went to Amsterdam. We visited the photography museum, saw the
street-artists on De Dam, had a double cheeseburger, looked at a lot
of interesting shops and enjoyed walking in Amsterdam.

My aunt Han, who lives in South-Africa was visiting the Netherlands
and is staying with my parents. I went there today and Han and I went
for a motorbike ride to Scheveningen to have lunch at the seaside.

We were very fortunate with the weather. It is special when it is warm
at the beach at the end of October !

The weather was very nice today so I called my friend Dick to go
for a motorbike ride.
We went to Baarle-Nassau and parked our bikes between the other
motorcycles on the village-square. Then we had a cappuccino at the
café on the corner before we rode back home again. It was not a
very long ride but it was beautiful with all the autumn colors in
the forests we rode through and I enjoyed it very much.

It is October and in the shops, the Christmas madness is already
started.
Christmas as a commercial opportunity. I don't think it was meant
to be like that.....

Harley-Davidson has a new advertising campaign for their "Dark Custom"
models. By doing a test ride on one of their Dark Custom models, you
can win a trip to the Harley-Davidson factory in Milwaukee AND win a
brand new, customized Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
To enter in the contest, I had to make a test ride on a Harley-Davidson
Street Bob. It is a dirty job but someone had to do it....

I went to OIT Harley-Davidson in Breda for the testride. I was very
lucky with the weather. It was a dry and sunny afternoon and I enjoyed
riding this brand new bike.

A few months ago, I had sent a trip report with pictures of a motorcycle
trip through the province Zeeland to WingWorld (WingWorld is the magazine
of the GWRRA, the Gold Wing Road Riders Association with more then 72000
members).
Today I found the November issue in the mail and there I saw my trip
report in print !

My garage door needed a new paint job, so we went to the D.I.Y.
shop and bought some sandpaper and paint.
Today I did the first layer of color and tomorrow I will do a
second layer and then I will see if it needs a third.
It is already looking better.....

Finally, my wife stopped doing the newspaper depot in Hoogerheide.
After eighteen years working with newspapers from half past three
in the morning and a salary that is half of what she got in the
beginning, she decided it was time to stop.
