November 28, 2020,
The day before yesterday, Vincent and I both ordered a GoPro8 action
cam. They arrived yesterday and today I configured it and test-mounted
it on my bike in the garage before I brought it back inside.
Unfortunately, I don't have the time for a testride now but I am
looking forward to the first testride with the new camera.

On Marktplaats I saw a very nice black BMW R850GS that I liked very
much so yesterday I went to Deest, about 140 km from where I live
to check it out.

After an hour and fourtyfive minutes I arrived in Deest and had a
nice chat with the owner. I wanted to make a testride on the bike
but because I don't know my way in that area, I asked him to be my
guide on my BMW, for a short testride.
The short testride turned out to be a mini tour of at least half
an hour.
I did like the bike very much but the different with my current BMW
is to little to spend the money that I had to pay for the bike, so
after a lot of thinking, I decided not to buy it.

November 7, 2020,
This morning, I did another testride at Motoport in Goes, on a Harley
Davidson Sportster XL53C this time.
Is was a lot nicer to ride then the Superglide I tried two days ago
but still, I like the BMW more.

After I finished the testride, my son Vincent arrived at the
motorcycle shop and together we did a little tour in Zeeland, via
the Zeeland bridge we rode to Zierikzee and then to the Deltaworks
in the Oosterschelde.
Then we went to Veere and from Veere to Kapelle and then I went home
again, nice in time for dinner.

About a week ago, I was at Motoport Goes, a big motorcycle shop and
saw a beautiful Harley-Davidson FXDC Super Glide Custom.
Later I filled in the form on their website for a testride because
I realy liked the bike very much and this morning, I went to Goes
for the testride.

The bike was a little disapointing. It looks great but my old BMW
is much more fun to ride. The brakes of the Harley are a lot less
powerful, the bike vibrates very much and because of the fuel injection
instead of carburetor and the very big displacement for a twin, it
has a very on/off characteristic.
It was an interesting ride but I did not buy it. I guess a BMW is
a better bike for me.

There has been a lot of rain the last few days but this morning it
was dry and sometimes even sunny. Despite the hard wind, it was nice
weather for a motorbike ride so I got the BMW from the garage for a
Tuesdaymorning ride.
I rode into Zeeland via the provincial road until I reached Goes,
then I took an even more scenic road back home, past the Westerschelde
dike. At Rilland, I stopped for a picture of my bike with an with an
'electrifying' background.
