This morning, our grandson Kenji was born, the son of our daughter.
He was born a month too early. He was almost 3 kg and healthy so
we are very happy.

After painting a fence at my father-in-law his house, my wife and
I went to Bergen op Zoom. We visited an art exposition and then
we went for an excursion in the old sewer under the streets of
Bergen op Zoom. It is called 'De Grebbe'.

De Grebbe used to be a small canal through the old city Bergen op
Zoom. It was dug in the 13th century for transport but later
the people of Bergen op Zoom build houses and a palace over it and
used it as the main sewer system for the city.
A few years ago, a new main-sewer pipe was used and the old Grebbe
was cleaned and restored. It is a tourist attraction now.

July 20, 2017
I had no urgent business today so I wanted to go for a ride on the
Honda 400. From home I took the narrow roads through Zeeland to
Motoport in Goes, a big motorcycleshop.
Near Rilland it started to rain very hard so I took shelter under
a bridge over the Schelde-Rijnkanaal
You can hardly see the ship in the distance through the rain
After fifteen minutes or so, it was not raining so hard anymore, so I
went on to Goes. In Goes I had a chocolatmilk at the motorcycleshop,
looked at the nice bikes (there was a beautiful restored BMW R100RS
in the showroom) and then I went home, riding the narrow roads next
to the Westerschelde-dyke.

Today I went to Lelystad to play Airsoft with two of my sons. It was
at Balls and
Arrows Lelystad, two hours driving from where we live.
Ready for the game
We had a lot of fun in the 10 hectare forest and a nice hamburger
sandwich for lunch.

Today I sold my GoldWing. Our only bike is the Honda CB400T now, the
bike that I bought years ago for Erika.
