February 29, 2020,
Today one of my sisteres is celebrating her 60th birthday wit a dinner-party
but before we went there, we went to the 'Fantasy Fest' fair in Rijswijk with
two of our grandsons. Erika was wearing her medieval dress and I had my
steampunk outfit to the fair.
On the fair, we watched (and listened to) the band 'Rapalje'.

From Rijswijk we went to Voorschoten to the restaurant for my sisters
birthday. One of my sons took a picture of my sisters, my brother and our
spouses.

Yesterday, I took a lot of pictures for an article about the carnival
parade in Hoogerheide and Woensdrecht and today I went to Ossendrecht
to take pictures for an article about the carnival parade in Ossendrecht.
The weather is not to bad so I went there by motorbike and parked
my bike at Motorservice Ossendrecht.

This morning I got my new topcase on my BMW. I bought the topcase
secondhand, I ordered a new mountingrack at Motorservice Ossendrecht
and had to buy some extra mounting materials secondhand but now it
fits and I don't have to take my helmet with me everytime I arrive
somewhere on my motorbike.

Some time ago, I had a litle problem with my Henry rifle. The importer
tried to fix it but that did not work so after some emailing to the
factory in the USA by the importer, they swapped my rifle for a brand
new one. Good service !

Together with my friend Dick, I went to the big motorcycleshow in Utrecht.
It was very interesting to see the latest models of the big and small
motorcycle manufacturers and quite a lot of electric motorcycles.
Even Harley Davidson has an electric motorcycle, the Livewire.

Some of the bikes I liked very much were the Royal Enfield Continental GT650,
the (much to expensive) new Honda GoldWing and a BMW R1200GS with a
matching sidecar.

Yesterday evening, we went to Podium Kloosterhof for the band 'Acting
The Maggot' with their show 'The Songs we love so well'.
They played mainly Irish folk and some English and American folk
music and we enjoyed it very much.

Last weekend, it was no motorbike weather because of storm Ciara and
tomorrow, the next storm, Dennis, is expected to arrive here, but
today the weather is fine so I went for a short trip on my BMW.
After a visit to Motorservice Ossendrecht, I went through Putte to
Stabroek in Belgium.
Via a shortcut via the A4 freeway, I went to the harbour of Antwerp
and via te 'smuglers road' I went to Rilland, and from there back home.

Last weekend, we had the storm Ciara and this weekend, the next storm,
Dennis, is expected to arrive here.
When I inspected our fence after the storm, I noticed that one support
was rotten so today I bought a wooden pole and with my sledgehammer
I rammed it in the ground so I could fix the support for the fence.
Just in time for the next storm.....

February 11, 2020,
One of our sons, my wife and I did the finishing evening of our First Aid
course this evening. It was very interesting and one of the things
we learned was CPR and the use of an AED. After a few days we will
get our First Aid ID in the mail.
