The weather is wonderful for the time of year. It is about eleven
degrees Celcius and sunny most of the time. I took the GoldWing for
a ride into Belgium and had a wonderful afternoon riding some 250
km. I even did some dirtroad riding near Geel in Belgium.

I am very lucky to be able to make such a nice long ride in februari.
I think I can live with winters like this

Together with two of my sons and one grandson, we went to the motorcycle show in the
Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. I saw some very nice bikes. I liked the Yamaha XT660 Tenere Explorer
but I also liked the new BMW G650GS and the Suzuki VStrom Black Rhino very much.

The Yamaha has standard GPS, ABS and panniers. Fuel consumption should be twentyfive
kilometer on a liter.

My oldest granddaughter was having her second birthday so we went
to their farmhouse in the middle of the Netherlands, an hour and a
half away from where we live. Their farmhouse in the snow looked
like a postcard.

It was nice to see my son and his wife again and to see my grandson
and my granddaughters play together.

After a warm January, winter has started here too. It has been seriously freezing a few days
now, so people are iceskating on a lake nearby. Fortunately the roads are dry so I can still
ride..

Unfortunately, there is a lot of salt on the roads so I'll have to clean the bike thoroughly
when it is not freezing anymore.
