The day after Christmas we had dinner with one of our sons and his
partner and children but before that, we went to the central square
in our village to go ice skating with the children.
At the skating rink we met our daughter with her husband and children.

I had not been on skates in the past twentyfive years but I wanted
to find out if I still knew how to skate, so I rented a pair of skates
and after a few scary rounds, it went a little more smooth. I fell
only once so it was not to bad

On Christmas morning, we went to our daughter's house to have lunch
there with her, her husband, children and in-laws.

In the evening we had a Christmas dinner with some of our children
and grandchildren and my wife her father.

December 24, 2019
'De Doorbrekers', the church we go to, had organised a wonderful
Christmas "show" in theater de Mythe in Goes.
While our son in law was one of the volunteers, two of our sons
and I went there to enjoy the beautiful show, where they told the
story of the birth of Jesus Christ.

This morning, one of my granddaughters was singing in the children
choir in the 'Family Christmas Service' in our church.

We where there with my daughter, her husband and a whole bunch
of our grandchildren.

December 7, 2019
This evening we arrived home after a short stay in Ede.
On December 5,
we went to our oldest son and his wife and children for the 'Sinterklaas-
evening' and then we went to a hotel in Ede.
The next day, we visited Huis Doorn, the villa where the last kaiser of
Germany, Wilhelm II lived after WW I was lost by Germany. We visited the
house and an exposition about airplane builder Anthony Fokker, who had
build the famous triplane of the Red Baron.

Today, we visited the Dutch Poultry Museum at Barneveld and the 'Kijk en
Luistermuseum' (Look and listen museum) in Bennekom, where we admired an
impressive collection of mechanical music intruments, some local
historical 'things' and a collection of magic lanterns.

December 1, 2019
With most of our children and grandchildren we had our Sinterklaas-party
this afternoon. After unpacking the presents for the children, we had
soup and sandwiches before the parents took their tired children home
with all their presents.

On Thursday, we will go to our oldest son and his family for another
Sinterklaas-party because he could not be with us this Sunday.
