This morning I went to Almere, because my aunt from South Africa was
staying with a niece there. The next week she will stay with us but
first, my aunt and I went to another aunt in Naarden.
With the three of us, we had a nice lunch in Bussum.

At the 3K Run & Gun competition in Hulten, I got the 'Super Senior'
trophy.
The gun I carry on the picture is a wooden dummy because it is not
legal to carry a gun outside the shooting range.

This evening, at fifteen minutes past nine PM, our mother died
at the age of 85 while all her children were sitting around her bed.
Although my brother and sisters and I will miss her very much, we
are happy to know that she is gone to heaven to see our dad again,
who passed away a few months ago.

The BMW R75RT needed new break pads on the left-frontbrake so I went
to the BMW shop to let them replace the brake pads.
I got an bright yellow BMW R1200RT as a loaner bike to get home
and tomorrow my own BMW will be ready again.

This afternoon I was at Woensdrecht Airbase. The taxiway of the
airport was used today as a testtrack for a record breaking bicycle,
the Velox 8.
It is a project of students from two universities, TU-Delft and
VU-Amsterdam. Their goal is to break the lady's record for 'human
powered vehicles' in Battle Mountain in Nevada USA next month. The
current lady's record is 121,8 km/h so they have to go faster.

They did a few testruns and their topspeed in this test was 74 km/h,
enough for this test.
