August 2008

August 30, 2008

Today I spend the day doing a portrait- and modelphotography workshop in the studio of photographer Bert Meelberg in Schiedam. It was very interesting to work with professional equipment and a professional model. I learned a lot about model photography and working with light today.

The weather was very nice so I went there by bike. All the others who came by car had to pay a lot to park their cars farther away and I could park the bike right in front of the studio ;-).

Friday I got the BMW back from the bikeshop in Ossendrecht. It has a new front tire fitted and fresh oil, new brakepads, a new battery and I mounted the Tomtom on the BMW last week and it was hardwired to the new battery (with a fuse offcourse).

Friday afternoon I made a small trip to test the bike and the Tomtom and yesterday I made a short trip into Zeeland and I enjoyed riding the BMW on some dirt roads and on the narrow roads on the dikes along the Westerschelde.

Today I went planespotting with one of my sons. We went to Woensdrecht Airbase with the Suzuki Samurai and walked through the mud to find a nice place to take pictures of the classic Dakota that was doing touch en go's at the airstrip.

It is very nice to hear the sound of the engines of that old airplane and it was a beautiful sight to see it flying past us.
