I went to the harvest of the first asparagus in Ossendrecht.
When the first few asparagus were harvested, we went to a asparagus event
with a panel discussion, drinks and a lot of food. Asparagus soup, asparagus with
ham and small patatoes and a strawberry dessert.
The main course of the asparagus dinner that I got
I know, it is a dirty job but someone had to do it.....

This weekend was the 25th anniversary of the Dijkrock rock-festival
in Rilland. I was there all weekend for
Regioactueel
and enjoyed the bands that played at the festival and the friendly atmosphere.
The festival lasted three days,
Friday,
Saturday and
Sunday.

After I saw an ad at a website, that Harley-Davidson offered testrides
on the new touring bikes, I filled in the form and got an invitation
to ride a 1690 cc RoadGlide Special from Motoport in Goes.
A long time ago, I used to ride a 1340 cc Harley TourGlide and I was
curious how this bike had evolved.

Well, it is much better. The 1690 cc engine has plenty of power and
sounds good. The roadholding is good and the brakes (with ABS)
are 200% better then the old Harley brakes.
The fairing is fine although I would prefer an bigger windscreen but
I don't like the seat. It is to low so you sit on your back instead of
your bottom so after a while you feel your back hurt.
I really enjoyed the ride, it is a very good bike, but for now, I'll
keep my trusty old GoldWing GL1200.

My wife her sister had to go to the hospital and we wanted to visit her
and her husband. They live in Germany and our plan was to go there on
thursday morning and return home the same day. Plans always go different
so in the end, we stayed in Germany for the night and went back on friday
afternoon.
This morning, I walked to the bakery in the village center to buy some
fresh bread for breakfast. We love the taste of the bread in Germany.
