I got sad news today. I went to Suzi's Place to let an expert look at my Suzuki.
Arno, the owner of the shop, made a testride with the Suzuki and then put in on
the lift to check it out.
It was not good. The gearbox needs a revision. There are pieces of bearing on the
magnetic drainplug........ also some other bearings in the transmision need to be
replaced and the body needs some welding to get through the anual APK test.
It will be an expensive repair.
The Suzuki on the lift and near my oldest son his house.
But it was not all bad today.
After I left Suzi's Place, I went to the North to visit my oldest son. With the Tomtom
GPS, I avoided the freeway and had a very pleasand ride to my son. Somewhere halfway
stopped at a restaurant for a coffee and a sandwich.
I arrived just in time to read my granddaughter a bedtime story before her afternoon nap.
On my way back home, I also avoided the freeways and at seven PM I parked the
Samurai near my home again after a 350 km ride.

This Sunday, we visited some old friends, Guido and Agneta, who live near Amsterdam.
Agneta and I made a small tour on her trike and on a quiet road, I had the chance to
try it.
Riding a trike is FUN
With a 1200cc Volkswagen engine, it has enough power to have a lot of fun and
the roadholding is much better then I expected. It was real fun to ride it !

After bringing our daughter to school, my wife, our granddaughter
and I went to a well know fastfood restaurant for a MacBreakfast.

My granddaughter loved the pieces of Egg McMuffin and croissants
we gave her.

In the Netherlands, the day after Easter is a holiday and some
shops organize special events. Motoport in Goes was opened this
day and they had some interesting things like a wheely simulator,
a dynajet test facility and lots of nice bikes.

Unfortunately the weather is not so nice with a lot of rain
but I went there anyway. I had a free coffee and cake and looked
at some nice bikes like the Triumph Tiger 800 and a very nice
looking yellow and black BMW F650GS.

At the opendoorday at
Motorservice Ossendrecht there were three Benelli's you couild choose
from to make a testride. I choose the "All-road", the Benelli TRE K 1130
and did a nice twenty minute testride with it.

It is a great bike. Very powerfull, very good brakes and roadholding but
a little to much a "sports"bike for me as GoldWing rider. The design
of the bike is very Italian. Much eye for all the little details. A joy
to look at!

It was a nice day for a ride so I got on the CB400T and drove through Huijbergen
and Wildert to Zundert. Then I went back home via Klein-Zundert en Rucphen and
Nispen. Most of the time I was riding on narrow one-lane roads through farmland
and forests.
Somewhere in the middle of nowhere between Wildert and Zundert.
When I filled my tank after the ride, I calculated that I had done more then
twenty-one kilometers on a liter !.
