Today's ride with the Motorcycling connect group would actually be done
with four people. Unfortunately, it turned out that two participants
were unable to participate, so Saturday morning around ten o'clock I
was alone with Alwin in the parking lot at Motoport in Goes.
But then we received an app from Thijs who invited us to come for coffee
with him in Vlissingen. That seemed like a nice idea, so we set course
for Vlissingen via nice country roads and through picturesque villages.
Thijs joined our ride and with the three of us, we rode to the boulevard
in Vlissingen.

On our way to Oostkapelle, we stopped at the lighthouse near the beach
and then we rode from Walcheren to Noord Beveland and from there over the
Zandkreeksluis back to our starting point, Motoport in Goes.

Today, after a year and a half, finally another APS-DSR competition.
Almost two hours in the car there and then almost two hours in the
car back but it was great fun again.

Today the 2nd stage of the Tour 'd Amy ended with us in Hoogerheide.
Our eldest son and his daughter are riding a sponsored bike ride
from Veenendaal to Paris for a good cause and now they are staying
with us.

One of my old aunts is in a nursing home in Voorburg. Today I went
there for a walk with her in a wheelchair (and about thirty other
old people in wheelchairs) and a picknick in the park.

After the walk, I went to my sister and we went together to
Leidschendam for a coffee and a big stroopwafel before I went home.

For an article on our newssite, I went to an opendoor day at
a building with eleven artists workshops.
Most of them were ARSIS members (a local artist assosiation)
that I had met before and it was nice to see them again after
more then a year covid-19 lockdown.

Today I went for a motorcycle ride to the isle Tholen. I stopped to
drink a little water at a small harbour at Nieuw-Strijen, a very
small village that I did not know it excisted

After my ride around Tholen I took the scenic route to via Bath
and Ossendrecht home.

Today I had some quality time with my youngest son. We went to
Castle Doorwerth first, to visit the castle.

Then we had lunch at the restaurant at the castle and went to the
Open Air museum in Arnhem.
At the Open Air museum, they were recording a music show for TV.

In the evening we took the touristic route home and had a nice dinner
at a snackbar in Bergambacht.
It was a late fathersday present for me and I enjoyed it very much.

This Saturday we went to amusement park De Efteling with our youngest
son and his wife. It was a very nice day with the four of us.
