Norway
Coming from Danmark
Thursday, July 6th, 2006
Today I arived in Norway for the first time in my life. It was a
two and a half hour very boring trip on the boat but now I will
realy start my trip to the North Cape.

The boat trip itself was boring but when we were near the port of
Kristiansand, he views were geting more interesting.
My first view on Norway
After the flat landscape of Danmark, the rocky cost of Norway was
very impressive and the houses looked so beautiful.

At the Color Line terminal, I waited for Kurt, a fellow GWRRA member,
who offered me a free night stay my first night in Norway.
After only a few minutes he arrived on his beautiful Honda GoldWing
GL1500.
We drove to his house, just outside Kristiansand and I unloaded the bike.

Unfortunately, my friend Kurt died at age 58 in the
night of May 22 to May 23, 2013 by a heart attack.
Kurt had a very pleasand surprise for me. In the movie theater he
works for, is the world premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean II.
First we saw the movie (great !!) and then we went to the Pirates
Party, in an old Fort in Kristiansand. Nice party, free food and drinks,
and music from a good rock festival on an isle just out of the coast.
What more could I wish for.

After the party we walked into Kristiansand. At the waterfront, people were
partying in little boats and on the terraces and it was realy very relaxed.
