I have breakfast at seven. I do some bike maintenance after breakfast
and I am on the road at half past eight. I left the key of my room in
the letterbox of the hotel
Via the E39, I drive to Trondheim and an hour later I am in Trondheim
to visit the Nidarosdomen, an old church.
The Nidarosdomen in Trondheim
I park my bike on the sidewalk and walk to the Nidarosdomen. It is an impressive
building with sculptures all over it. Amazing. Then I go inside to view the
interior. Very beautiful too.
Inside the Nidarosdomen
Afterward I visit the shop and walk back to the bike to leave Trondheim.
While I'm driving to the E6, I see a nice bridge and some beautiful houses
on the waterfront.
Nice buildings in Trondheim
Then I am back on the E6 again goung North. A little North of Trondheim is a little
town named "Hell". I made some pictures at the train station.
I can say that I have been to Hell and back (on the E6 that is)
I was in Hell.....but came back
Back on the E6 I drive North, in the direction of the Polar Circle that I hope
to cross today.
At twelve o'clock, I stop for lunch. Some bread and coffee I had in my thermos.
I know I wrote this before but it is realy very beautiful here. I realy love
to ride here and enjoy this beautiful country.
A river next to the E6
The churches here are very nice

A rocky river
At 19:27h I cross the Polar circle, 2991 km from home. I stop at the visitors
center to buy a sticker and a badge.

At the parking, I see two Suzuki Hayabusa's with GB plates. They passed me at
high speed some time before. I guess they don't know about the price of a speeding
ticket in Norway.
After leaving the Polar Circle I wanted to fill my tank again. On the side of the
road was a sign with a petrol pump so I took that turn and drove 15 km on a very
narrow mountain road, close to the Swedish border. Finaly I saw the next sign....
with a cross through the petrol pump sign......Grrrrr.
So I drove back all the way to the main road again. After a few more kilometers, I
found a gasstation that was open and filled my tank again.

Finaly, at almost nine PM, I rented a cabin on a camping. It has a bathroom, a
small kitchen and a seperate sleeping room so it is very luxurious for a cabin.
I have some bread, a candybar and an apple for dinner and then I had a shower and
and used my new sleepingbag for the first time.

A big advantage of riding North of the Polar Circle in summer, is that is does not
get dark at night so an 14 hours riding day is no problem at all.
