A trainride from Bergen op Zoom to Voorburg

After a workout at the Anytime Fitness, I had a shower and lunch at home before I kissed my
wife goodbye. Jeffrey, my son in law, drove me to the trainstation in Bergen op Zoom.
I had enough time for a coffee at the station, before the train to Voorburg arrived.

I had a first class trainticket so I had a very relaxed trainride with only a few other passengers.

A few minutes past 16:00 h, I arrived at the trainstation in Voorburg and my sister was
already there with the car.
This night, I stayed at my sisters house and together we went to Schiphol airport
At my sisters computer, we printed our boardingcards and made reservations for two chairs
next to eachother

Flying from Amsterdam to Toronto

At half past five, I woke up and after a shower and an simple breakfast my brother
came to bring my sister and me to Schiphol Airport

Our flight departed from terminal 3 Gate E20 and because we only had a little delay
because of a traffic jam we had plenty of time for coffee.

At 08:55 h, we went to check-in for our flight. Then we had a lot of passport and boardingcard
checkpoints, we had to go through a bodyscan machine, our luggage was x-rayed and manually
checked but after more then 45 minutes, we arrived at the gate.
At 10:00 h our plane arrived from Canada and went to the gate.

Then all passengers had to leave the plane, a Boeing 777-300 and at a few minutes after 11:00 h
boarding started. More then an hour later, we took of, with flight AC825 to Toronto.

On the entertainment system, there was a good choice of movies, games and information and in
particulair, flight information with maps and flight data. Very interesting.

After eight hours, two movies, a good meal, a snack and a few games on the entertainment system,
we touched down on the International Airport in Toronto.

We were lucky at the passport checkpoint. Because Anneke walks with crutches, we were allowed to use
a special row with only two people before us, instead of the normal row with a hundred or more people.
We collected our luggage and took a taxi to the hotel, the Sandman Signature Mississauga Hotel on
5400 Dixie Road in Mississauga.

We had room 1102, on the eleventh floor of the hotel. From our hotelroom, we could see the airport.

On the taxi ride to the hotel, we noticed an Enterprise Car Rental, almost next to the hotel so we
went there and changed our car reservation to that office so we don't have to take a taxi back to
the rental office at the airport. (that is where our original reservation was made).
At midnight in the Netherlands, that is six o'clock in the afternoon in Canada, we had our dinner
at the Denny's restaurant in the same building as the hotel. We both had a very tasty meal with potato's,
brocoli, chicken, mushrooms and onions.

Tomorrow we will do some sightseeing in Toronto with Tim van der Willik as our 'tourguide'.
