At nine AM, we were expected on the parking near the registration building.
Departure was planned at half past ten.
To be able to take pictures during the parade, I used some duct tape to tape
my old Trust digital camera to the dashboard of the Wing.
I cut a hole in the tape so I could use the on/off button en the shutter release
button while riding.
My old camera on the Wing
A lot of people were joining in the parade and very soon the parking lot was filled with
beautifull GoldWings (and some other bikes).
Wings and the watertower
A group of Danish girls were riding small Yamaha 535 choppers. A mini chopper club in
the Grand Parade of GoldWIngs.

One of the lady's was so friendly to make a picture of me and my bike with my camera.

On the road to Nykobing
In Nykobing
In Nykobing, all bikes were parked at the quay at the harbour in Nykobing. It was an impessive sight.
We had almost two hours before we would return so I walked into the center of Nykobing. It is a nice town
with musicians performing outside on the street and nice shops and restaurants.
I had a big pizza at an Italian restaurant, together with a whole group of other Wingers.
So many GoldWings on one place!

Back to the bikes
It was a nice to spend some time in Nykobing and I think the people of Nykobing liked the
GoldWings because a lot of families with children and older people were walking between the
bikes and admiring the beautifull machines.
GoldWing watching
Then, at one PM, it was time to get back to Sakskobing. Like when we came to Nykobing, a policecar
started in front of the parade with police bikes escorting the parade en stopping the other traffic.
Back to Sakskobing
In Nykobing the sidewalks were filled with people watching the parade go by and outside of town
people from gardens, passing cars and pedestrians waved at the parade.
Nice view on the parade
Back in Sakskobing, we drove back to WingDing and then everybody got back to their
tents, cabins or to the vendor tents or the bar.

Some people put their bike back in the garage. A German rider had his GoldWing in a covered
trailer behind his Mercedes.......

Nice parade bike
The weather was very nice so a lot of people stayed outside at the outdoor bar or near
the youth hostel. There were a lot of bikes to look at and friends to talk to (and enough to
eat and drink).
Enjoying the nice weather
A beautifull GL1500/6
At five PM, the bike show on the parking near the registration building started. Only a few
bikes were at the show but the bikes that were there were absolutely fantastic.

The judges
After the bikeshow I had dinner with Judy & Dave and Bob & Kathy at the youth hostel restaurant.
In the evening, the band "Desert Track"
was performing in the big hall. They are the makers of the famous "GoldWing song". They
played nice country music. In the break, I bought a CD with their songs.
Desert Track on stage
There was a group of French GoldWingers who were linedancing on the country music of
Desert Track. The atmosphere was very good.
Line dancers
This Viking and his wife were the best dancers !
It was a great day. It was a interesting experience to ride in the big parade with all the
other GoldWings, the dinner with my American friends was good and I always can appreciate
good country music.
