Yesterday I went to bed early so this morning I woke up before six in the morning. At
half past six I was in the basement, having breakfast and half past seven I was on the road again.
On road 160 I drove to Nyborg to get on the tollbridge to Shaelland. This bridge is very high above
the sea because the big seaships have to be able to pass under the bridge.
While crossing the bridge, you have a great view over Shaelland and the surrounding sea.

Right after the bridge I turned right and drove into Halsskov. After taking some pictures of the bridge,
I drove on, on the road to Skaelskor.

In the harbour of Skaelskor
Past Skaelsskor, I followed the Margueritrute and stopped at Borreby castle. A very big and impressive castle with
a lot of buildings around it. It is one of Denmark's oldest renaissance period castles and was built
in 1556.

I do like the Margueritrute very much. Very nice roads and you see a lot of Denmark. After some
touring on the Margueritrute I switched on the Tomtom again and found my way to the bridge to Falster.
Nice road, blue sky, forrest and a GoldWing. Almost heaven
The bridge from Shaelland to Falster
From Falster, it was only one other bridge to Lolland and then half an hour to get to Sakskobing. At
half past twelve I arrived at the campsite, got my cabin key and loaded all my luggage from the GoldWing
into the small wooden cabin. With all the rain I was very glad I had a cabin and I could leave my tent
in my saddlebag. The ground on the campsite was like a swamp.

After putting my things in the cabin, I drove to Sakskobing to fill my tank and to do some
shopping at the Aldi supermarket. Then I went back to the campsite.
Right next to the entrance of the campsite was a big camper with a big trailer behind it. It is the mobile
home and garage of one of the French GoldWingers.......

The famous landmark of Sakskobing is the smiling watertower. I walked to Sakskobing city center, only a
few hundred meters away from the campsite to take some pictures.

Although the event really starts tomorrow, there were quite some GoldWing riders already. Some
with a trailer or a sidecar and I even saw a cyclecamp trailer.
More GoldWingers arrived
Very nice paintjob

At six PM, the registration started. With registration, I got my T-shirt, and a nice pin. Unfortunately
there was no program for the event but they told me it would come tomorrow, (It did).
The registration was in this building

I had to charge my Tomtom again and fortunately there was a recreation bungalow on the campsite with
electricity so I got my Tomtom, the charger and a bike magazine and spend an hour waiting until the
Tomtom was charged again.
When I walked around on the campsite and the youth hostel, I noticed some of the staff spoke Dutch.
Later I asked about it, I found out that Lars, the Danish camping manager has a Dutch girlfriend, who
is running the youth hostel. Lars his Dutch was so good that I first believed he was a Dutchman who
lived in Denmark for a long time.
While I sitting by my cabin, three bikers from Estonia arrived. Later that evening we sat in front of
their cabin, together with a couple on a GoldWing, who came for WingDing too. We drank beer and wine and
talked a lot. It was a very nice evening.
