Motorcycle trips in the Netherlands
3 - Touring in Zeeland
Thursday, September 9, 2021
After the traffic jams on Wednesday I just wanted to have a nice ride so I went
for a trip through Schouwen-Duiveland.
From my home I went through Woensdrecht onto the Grindweg into the polder and along
the Westerscheldedijk to the KNRM rescue station Hansweert.
The radar tower, a bit east from Waarde
At the viewpoint on the dike at Waarde
The KNRM rescue station Hansweert
I then rode through Kapelle to the Oosterscheldedijk, over which I continued
towards Goes.
Along the Oosterscheldedijk, with the Zeeland Bridge far away in the background
After arriving in Goes, I went to Gerrits Motoren where I had a look at the
motorbikes in the showroom and then I rode to the big motorcycleshop Motoport
for a chocolate milk and again, to have a look at the motorbikes in their very
big showroom.
The new BMW R18 Transcontinental in the showroom
The whole row of classic BMWs
From Motoport I rode along the Westerscheldedijk to Waarde and a bit through
Waarde and then further along the dike to Rilland and then through the polder
to Ossendrecht. There I went to Motorservice Ossendrecht.
Waarde, a beautiful Zeeland village
The lovely winding road along the Westerscheldedijk
After a chat and a cup of coffee, it was time to go home. The end of this
beautiful riding day.
